GOAL
Every school and district receives a rating of ___ or higher.
Pillar 5 focuses on ensuring that the Blueprint and Strategic Plan goals are met through transparent
accountability and effective implementation. It establishes clear expectations, regular public
reporting, and the use of expert review teams to provide targeted support and guidance to schools
and districts seeking to enhance their performance. By promoting continuous improvement and
engaging stakeholders, Pillar 5 helps build trust and drives progress toward equity and excellence in
Maryland’s education system.
The outcome statements and baseline data for Pillar 5 below will be 昀椀nalized once the
recommendations of the Accountability and Assessment Task Force have been implemented and
the measurement scale of a revised accountability system are known.
