Building Tomorrow’s Workforce Through Career-Connected Partnerships
Caroline County Public Schools convened local business and community partners to
showcase how Career Connected Learning prepares students for success beyond high
school. The event highlighted the district’s Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan goals and
introduced participants to the full career-connected continuum4engaging students
through exploration, connection, and empowerment.
Partners learned how businesses can support students through work-based learning
and apprenticeships, including an overview from the Department of Labor on the gold
standard of Registered Apprenticeship. The morning concluded with a powerful panel
featuring current and former apprentices alongside their business mentors, offering
firsthand insight into how education and industry collaboration build a strong local
workforce.
